The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) presented RCDMC Soil Scientist Laura Murphy with the “2021 Outstanding RCD Conservation Planner of the Year” Award in recognition of her work providing technical assistance to the historically underserved small-scale, Spanish-speaking farming community in Monterey County. NRCS produced a video to celebrate Laura’s resource stewardship and community service.
