The Resource Conservation District is an active member of the local
farming community and acts as a bridge between agricultural producers
and the natural resource scientific community. Our goal is to help
ensure that when our cooperating growers, ranchers and landowners
change their operations to conserve natural resources, they make
the greatest amount of difference with the least amount of cost and
risk. We remain abreast of latest developments in science and regulation
to provide this level of service. RCD staff also serves on the Technical
Advisory Committees of a variety of projects led by partner organizations.

Agricultural
Water Quality Alliance (AWQA) partners meet with Congressman Sam
Farr and his staff to discuss water quality concerns and protection
efforts on the Central Coast.
